The Kilmovee Mini 7s gaelic football team did their school, their families and their parish proud today when the overcame Bekan NS by a single point to reach the County final of the Cumann na mBunscoil competition. Those who braved the biting cold conditions were treated to an enthralling final between Crossmolina and Kilmovee. The two teams battled bravely with outstanding displays of skill and bravery. Referee, Peter Geraghty, and Connacht coaches Eugene Lavin and Billy McNicholas were lavish in their praise of the exhibition of talent on display from the young players. Crossmolina were the eventual winners. Both teams were presented with their county medals by Cumann na mBunscoil Mayo secretary, Neil Reilly. The panel included Peter Horan, Michael Regan, Liam Frain, Matthew Boylan, Oisín Duffy, Liam Boyle, Oran Frain, Ryan Egan, Patrick Regan and Declan Duffy. Congratulations and well done to their coach and mentor, Mike Raleigh, for his dedication and commitment to the team.
